Fansdomray

Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 17 October 2026

The short version

These terms apply every time you buy from us. You must be 18 or older to order, and 18 or older to buy any bladed item. Prices are in US dollars and shown before shipping and any import charges. Nothing here takes away rights you have under the consumer law of your country.

1. Who we are and what these terms cover

This website and the online store at fansdomray.com are operated by Fansdomray ("we", "us", "our"). By browsing the site, creating an account or placing an order, you agree to these Terms & Conditions, our Privacy Policy, our Shipping Policy and our Refund & Returns Policy, which form part of the agreement between us.

If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not use the site or place an order. If you have already ordered and something here concerns you, contact us before your order ships.

2. Eligibility and age

  • You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into a contract to place an order.
  • You must be 18 or older to purchase any knife or bladed item, and you confirm that the item is legal to buy, receive and possess where you live.
  • If you order on behalf of a business, you confirm you are authorised to bind that business to these terms.

We may refuse or cancel an order if we have reason to believe the buyer is under 18, or that the delivery would breach a local restriction.

3. Products, descriptions and availability

We work hard to describe our gear accurately — dimensions, materials, weights and capacities are given in the specifications on each product page. Small variations in colour, finish, grain and hardware are normal in manufactured and natural materials and are not defects.

  • Photographs are illustrative. Studio and outdoor lighting, and the screen you view them on, can shift how a colour appears.
  • All products are sold as tools and equipment for their intended use. Knives are cutting tools, not weapons.
  • Stock is limited and shown in real time. If an item sells out after you order, we will contact you with the options set out in section 6.
  • We may discontinue, change or improve a product without notice. The specification that applies to you is the one published when you ordered.

4. Prices, currency and taxes

  • All prices are shown in US dollars (USD) and are exclusive of shipping unless stated otherwise.
  • Sales tax is added at checkout where we are required to collect it. For international orders, import duties, VAT/GST and customs fees are payable by you on delivery — see our Shipping Policy.
  • Your bank may apply a conversion or foreign transaction fee. We do not control and do not reimburse those charges.
  • We may change prices and promotions at any time, but a change never applies to an order we have already accepted.

If a price is listed obviously in error — for example a $89 item shown at $8.90 because of a system fault — we are not obliged to honour it. We will cancel the order and refund you in full rather than charge the corrected price without your agreement.

5. Orders and acceptance

Your order is an offer to buy. A contract is formed only when we send you an order confirmation email, and only for the items listed in that email. We may decline an order where:

  • the item is out of stock or was priced in error;
  • we cannot verify the payment or the delivery address;
  • the order appears fraudulent, abusive or resale-scale;
  • the item cannot lawfully be shipped to your destination.

If we decline after taking payment, we refund the full amount to the original payment method.

6. Payment

Payment is taken at checkout by our third-party payment providers. We accept the methods shown at checkout; we do not receive or store your full card number or security code.

  • Orders are only dispatched once payment has cleared.
  • Chargebacks and payment disputes should be a last resort — contact us first and we can almost always resolve it faster.
  • Top-up and balance payments (SKU FDR-ADJUST) are settlements against an existing order, are non-refundable, and are not a product in their own right. They do not count towards free-shipping thresholds.

7. Delivery, returns and warranty

Delivery times, rates, customs rules and restricted-item rules are set out in our Shipping Policy. Returns, refunds, exchanges and the 12-month craftsmanship warranty are set out in our Refund & Returns Policy.

Both documents form part of these terms. Where these terms and a policy conflict, the policy specific to the subject applies — unless the policy would reduce a right you have by law, in which case the law prevails.

8. Accounts

You are responsible for keeping your account password confidential and for activity that happens under your account. Tell us immediately if you think someone else has access. We may suspend or close an account that we reasonably believe is being used for fraud, abuse, or to harass our staff.

Order information is also available without an account using the link in your confirmation email, so please keep that email.

9. Acceptable use of the site

You agree not to:

  • use the site for any unlawful purpose, or in breach of export control or sanctions rules;
  • scrape, crawl or harvest content or prices at scale, or use automated tools that load the site unreasonably;
  • attempt to gain access to accounts, servers or data you are not authorised to access;
  • post reviews or content that is false, defamatory, obscene, or infringes someone else's rights;
  • resell our products as if you were an authorised dealer, or use our name and images in a way that suggests a partnership that does not exist.

10. Intellectual property

The site design, our product photography, our written copy, our logo and the Fansdomray name are owned by us or used with permission. You may view, download and print pages for your own personal, non-commercial use — for example to keep a copy of these terms or a product specification.

You may not republish, sell or redistribute our images or copy, or use them in advertising, without our written permission. Product names and brands mentioned on this site that belong to other companies remain the property of their owners and are referred to for identification only.

11. Reviews and content you send us

If you submit a review, photo or comment, you confirm it is your own work and is accurate. You give us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display, edit for length and clarity, and use it on the site and in marketing, without payment.

We do not edit reviews to make them more positive, and we do not delete a genuine negative review simply because it is negative. We may remove content that is unlawful, contains personal data about someone else, or is spam.

12. Third-party links and services

The site links to pages we do not control, and uses third-party services for payment, delivery and analytics. We are not responsible for the content, policies or performance of those third parties. Their terms apply to your use of their services.

13. Safety and proper use of gear

Outdoor equipment and cutting tools carry inherent risk. You are responsible for using a product for its intended purpose, following the instructions supplied with it, inspecting it before each use, and maintaining it — keeping blades sharp and pivots clean, for example.

  • Do not use a folding knife as a pry bar, chisel or hammer; the lock is not designed for lateral load.
  • Load limits on packs, bags and straps are stated in the specifications. Exceeding them is misuse.
  • Climbing-adjacent gear is not certified for life-safety use unless a product page explicitly says so. Never use non-certified equipment as part of a fall-arrest system.

Damage or injury resulting from misuse, modification or use against the stated purpose is not our responsibility.

14. Disclaimers

The site is provided on an "as is" basis. We do not promise that it will be available without interruption or free of errors, and we may take it offline for maintenance.

We do not exclude or limit our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, for defective products where the law says we are liable, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded. Subject to that, we exclude implied warranties to the extent the law allows.

15. Limitation of liability

Subject to section 14, our total liability arising out of any order is limited to the amount you paid for that order, including shipping.

We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses — for example lost profit, lost opportunity, or the cost of a cancelled trip — except where the law does not allow us to exclude them. Nothing in these terms limits your statutory consumer rights.

16. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify us against claims, losses and reasonable costs arising from your breach of these terms, your unlawful use of the site, or your breach of any law or third-party right — including importing an item that is restricted at your destination.

17. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of [[GOVERNING_LAW]], without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If you are a consumer resident elsewhere, you keep the protection of the mandatory consumer laws of your own country, and you may bring proceedings in your local courts where the law gives you that right.

Please talk to us first. If something has gone wrong, email [email protected] with your order number and a description of the problem. We will try to resolve it within 30 days. Most issues are settled at this stage, and a dispute that reaches a court or a payment provider is slower and more expensive for both of us.

If we cannot resolve it, either party may bring proceedings in the courts of the jurisdiction named above, subject to any right you have to sue in your own country.

18. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms to reflect changes in the law, our products or how we operate. The version that applies to your order is the one published on this page when you placed it, and the date at the top shows when it last changed. Material changes affecting existing customers will be announced on the site.

19. General

  • Severability — if one clause is found unenforceable, the rest stays in force and that clause is read as narrowly as possible.
  • No waiver — if we do not enforce a right once, we do not lose it.
  • Assignment — we may transfer our rights and obligations to another business; we will tell you if that happens. You may not transfer yours without our consent.
  • Entire agreement — these terms, with the policies linked above and your order confirmation, are the whole agreement between us.
  • Force majeure — we are not liable for delay caused by events outside our reasonable control, such as carrier strikes, customs action, extreme weather or natural disaster.

20. Contact

We reply within two business days, Monday to Friday.

Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under the consumer protection laws of your state or country. Where those laws give you stronger rights than these terms, those rights apply.
